Hardy Lake State Recreation Area has been educating the public with its
various birds of prey since 1989. We have educated over 350,000 people all
over the State of Indiana.
What is adopt a bird?
The “adoption” is actually a financial contribution that goes directly to the
care of the bird, ie food, medicine, and housing, as well as indirect support
of our educational programs. The Dwight Chamberlain Raptor Rehab
Center needs your help. Due to budget constraints, the Raptor Center relies
solely upon private donations in order to care for our non-releasable birds of
